
Here at The Bear Hotel we know a thing or two about food and wine and not because people have been coming here since the early 13th Century to enjoy the finest of both. No. We have a dedicated team of professionals who are here because they also simply love good food and great wine. One person we’d like to introduce is our chef, Phil Wild with over 23 years of experience, it’s fair to say he knows his peas from his parsnips. Phil has received numerous awards, clocked up time as Executive Head Chef at a number of highly acclaimed hotels around the country. The Bear Hotel now has a contemporary new bar, a luxurious new brasserie, plus private dining room for up to 20 people.
